Saturday night brings another amazing card to the Ralston Arena, VFC 46, in Omaha Nebraska including 3 Title Fights. In the main event Ryan Roberts will defend his belt as he takes on Miletich Fighting Systems Junior Hernandez for the VFC Bantamweight Title. Roberts has been on a terror in the last couple of years most notably a 5 round slugfest with LC Davis at Victory Fighting Championship 41. But don’t sleep on Hernandez, he’s coming off a 4 fight win streak also, and defeated local favorite Sean “P-town” Wilson at VFC 44 earning him this title shot. The card also features a local favorite Alonzo “ZO” Martinez in the co-main event for the VFC featherweight title, and in a feature bout for the VFC heavyweight title we have Travis Wiuff taking on The Ultimate Fighter Competitor Abe Wagner, who is coming off a NC fight with Big Rob Mitchell in which he dominated the whole 1st round. Oh… Yeah and we have 3 MMA Futures GreyHats on this card, lets take a look at those 3.

BrandEn “Iron” Chevrefils
Last time we saw Branden he had fought 7 out of 9 week and had only lost one fight. He capped it off at VFC 43 against a tough Karhramon Dekhkanov. Since his last fight, the Canadian/American, Chevrefils spent 6 month deployed over seas defending our county. He came back and ended up injuring his knee while getting ready for a title fight in April. Talking to him the other day he told me we’d better be ready to see an all new fighting in him. Chevrefils will be taking on the master of the 7 second knockout, Virgil Knight Jr, this should be one heck of a slugfest and one that you won’t want to miss.

Dwight Joseph
Dwight is the 1st fighter that I ever saw at a fight and though “Wow, that guy is good.” I have since gotten to know Dwight pretty darned well. And I’m expecting to see some big things out of him Saturday when he steps back into the cage. Dwight has never lost in the cage and is 2-0 since turning pro last year. Dwight also has changed camps since his last fight as he’s made his way out to the west coast to train with some of the best 135ers around. Expect to something new from him, expect him to make his way to the cage with his signature pink belt and what we hope to be another dominating performance. Dwight is taking on Shane Shomidie who is traveling all the way from Illinois for this fight so don’t expect him to go away easily.

Kassius “Killa” Kayne
What can we say about Kassius? This guy is dynamic! He’s a guy you’ve got to close the distance on because if he gets one of those meat hooks he calls legs moving you’re probably going to be taking a nap. Kassius is 4-1 as a pro and is already finding himself on bigger and bigger shows. This will be his 4th fight under the Victory Banner, and he’s also fought, as a pro for Dynasty Combat Sports and King of the Cage. Kassius also recently changed camps and is now training at Mick Doyle’s with the likes of other Anthony Smith, Cody Land, and Trey Smith, expect a solid showing here to get him onto a regional card like RFA or Titan in the near future. Kassius will be taking on Matthew Jones who recently put up a good showing against UFC vet Ryan Jensen.
