Omaha’s own Dakota Cochrane will attempt to claim the World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation’s middleweight title this Friday night when he meets Johny Hendricks.
Cochrane steps in for Brennan Ward, who was pulled from the fight.
The event takes place live from the Hilton Gardens Inn in Casper, Wyoming and airs on pay-per-view beginning at 10 p.m. ET. It will also be available on the FITE TV app.
Along with Cochrane vs. Hendricks, Phil Baroni and Chris Leben square off for the light heavyweight title, and a tournament in the lightweight division begins that will see the winner claim $100,000.
“Two and one-half months ago I was asked to be the color commentator for this show,” Bas Rutten said. “I was told that they do anything for me to work it I did some research and felt bare knuckles has a good future, so I met with the WBKFF officials in Chicago, and now I’m president.”
