Jared Tallent: An up and comer to watch

Jared Tallent is a name that is synonymous with the world of combat sports. As an All American wrestler with over 20 amateur MMA and kickboxing bouts, he has proven himself to be a formidable opponent in the cage. With two belts in two weight classes, he has already made his mark in the sport, and he is only just getting started.

But what sets Jared apart from other fighters is his desire to succeed. He has always liked to fight, but it wasn’t until he left wrestling that he discovered his passion for MMA and kickboxing. And he hasn’t looked back since. For Jared, it’s not about one discipline or the other – it’s about the art of mixing them together and creating something unique.

When asked about his fighting style, Jared simply says, “Idk Just who I am.” And it’s that authenticity that has earned him respect in the MMA community. He started with five amateur fights, but now he feels that he is too well-rounded for everybody. His approach to training is simple: he trains hard and trains smart. Before Covid hit, he was training at Team Elevation, but even during the pandemic, he knew he could still compete with the best in the world.

Jared’s natural ability is evident, but he is also someone who puts in the work. He remembers when he first started training MMA in Kearney, NE and how he has grown since then. When he’s not training, you can find him at the lake or doing something with his dog.

Jared’s success in the sport is due, in part, to his mindset. He is very confident in his abilities and always believes in himself. When asked about the importance of mental preparation, he says, “A lot. If you think you can or if you think you can’t, you’re probably right.” He also believes in the power of breathing exercises and visualization.

Jared has experienced both wins and losses in his career, but it’s the pro win that he is most proud of. He knew he put in the work and deserved it. Any loss is difficult, especially when you feel like you lost to yourself and not the competition.

Jared acknowledges that he is different from other fighters, but he doesn’t see that as a negative thing. He encourages others to focus on what they can do and to think positively. At the end of the day, he knows that he has put in the work, and whatever happens, happens.

Jared’s next fight is against Lucas Beardslee on May 6th, and he is looking forward to having his family, friends, and co-workers there to support him. Whether he wins or loses, Jared Tallent will always be known for drive and ambition in MMA and kickboxing.
