Legacy Fighting Alliance 39 – LFA 39 Features Interim Middleweight Title Fight

Legacy Fighting Alliance heads to Vail, Colorado this Friday night for LFA 39: Heinisch vs. Checco live on AXS TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

In the main event, Ian Heinisch and Gabriel Checco square off for the interim LFA middleweight title.

Heinisch rebounded from his first pro loss this past January with a second round finish of Daniel Madrid. Last year, “The Hurricane” suffered a submission defeat to Markus Perez, snapping his eight-fight win streak.

The 29-year-old has two other submission wins to his resume, securing those vs. Jeremy Spelts and Lucas Rota, the latter of which came in his LFA debut in 2017.

Checco, a 32-year-old Brazilian that trains at Xtreme Couture, returns to LFA for the first time since a 2016 submission win over Adam Stroup pushe dhis record to 10-2. Last year, he had two planned fights on Dana White’s “Contender Series” scrapped vs. Charles Byrd and Chase Waldon.

During his career, Checco has fought the likes of Joseph Henle and Jake Collier.

Friday’s card also features Hayward Charles vs. Christiano Frohlich in a middleweight contest, Brandon Royval vs. Jerome Rivera and unbeaten female fighters Maycee Barber vs. Audrey Perkins.
