The one thing that most fighters strive for… Their first title, Saturday Oct. 8th will be the opportunity for many Amateurs and a couple pros to get their opportunity to take some a little gold, at MCF 12: Ammy Title Fight Night! For North Platte’s Brandon Bringewatt (4-1 North Platte, NE), this will be his 1st opportunity to take home a belt, and he will be doing that in his home town as he take on the slightly more experienced Anthony Nelson (5-2 Norfolk, NE), who is coming off a loss back in June and surely has his sights set to redeem himself and take the title home. Also on the card competing is MMA Futures GreyHat Tower Robinson (6-2-1 Lincoln, NE), Tower looks to add the MCF Ammy Welterweight title to his collection as he is also the Dynasty Combat Sports Lightweight title. This is Robinson’s 1st fight at 170 lbs and he is taking on a much less experienced, but presumably larger Kohlman Scribner (3-1 Fort Collins, CO). Scribner’s only loss coming from a DQ in his last fight by a shot to the back of the head, he controlled the fight until then.
The Main Event, of MCF 12: Ammy Title Fight Night, we will see Charlie DuBray (14-13 Nebraska) take on Corey Roberts (2-4 Nebraska). Corey Roberts, a much improved fighter since the last met in Nov. of last year, plans to avenge his loss to DuBray. DuBray, after loosing his 1st opponent on this event looks to show the North Platte crowd that he deserved his shot at the title, and looks to get himself back into the win column after taking a loss in July to, MMA Futures GreyHat, Raufeon Stots (6-0 Kearney, NE). This fight will surely be a fun fight as both DuBray and Roberts are guys that will leave it all in the cage and will be coming out to bang. I don’t expect this fight to make it out of the 2nd round although it is scheduled for 5 professional rounds. Winner of this will most likely defend the MCF Amateur Bantamweight Title against MMA Futures GreyHat Ryan MacDonald (5-0 North Platte, NE) in March. (Full Card Below)
As always this is available via PPV from MMA Futures, and each individual fight will be available for .99 two weeks after the fights.
