It was a mixed bag of results for Dwight Joseph and Darrick Minner on Dana White’s Contender Series Tuesday from the UFC Apex.
Joseph kicked off the ESPN+ broadcast with a decision win over Jason Perrin, sweeping the three scorecards by matching 29-28s.
It wasn’t enough to earn a contract, though, for Joseph.
Minner, though, was unable to overcome ONE Championship veteran Herbert Burns, falling via submission in the first round.
The card featured Omar Morales earning a second round TKO over Harvey Park in the main event. Lucrezia Ria bested Marilla Santos via split decision and Andre Muniz submitted Taylor Johnson via first round rear-naked choke.
Muniz, Burns and Morales were all awarded contracts by White.
