Drew Dober made the most of his opportunity presented to him Wednesday night at UFC Fight Night 175.
Dober, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, earned a second round TKO victory over Alexander Hernandez in one of the featured bouts on the ESPN+ main card.
The event took place from Jacksonville, Florida and the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
Dober, a 31-year-old who now trains alongside interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje at Elevation Fight Team in Denver, improved to 23-9 overall with the performance.
Since a tough 2019 submission defeat to Beneil Dariush, Dober has reeled off three consecutive wins – with all three coming via finish.
He closed out last year with a first round TKO of Marco Polo Reyes, followed that up with a first round finish in January over Nasrat Haqparast and completed the three-fight run vs. Hernandez.
A ranked lightweight entering the contest, Hernandez will likely see his name replaced by that of Dober in the next set of rankings released by the UFC.
