The Professional Fighters League is thrusting the spotlight on the women’s lightweight division of the roster for the 2019 season.
Earlier this month, the PFL kicked off the women’s lightweight tournament with headliners such as Sarah Kaufman and Kayla Harrison. Also included in the first round of matches were Larissa Pacheco and Bobbi-Jo Dalziel.
Harrison scored herself a first round submission victory over Morgan Frier, with Kaufman’s planned bout vs. Roberta Samad being scratched due to Samad missing weight.
Pacheco knocked off the ultra-tough Dalziel, locking up an armbar submission.
Genah Fabian advanced in the tournament with her win over Moriel Charneski.
Kaufman, a former Strikeforce champion, moved on and will take on Pacheco in the semifinals, with Harrison and Fabian squaring off in the other matchup.
