Report: Omaha’s Terence Crawford Wants To Face Conor McGregor

If Top Rank, Terence “Bud” Crawford and company have it there way, Crawford will be the next opponent for Conor McGregor.

According to a report by ESPN, Bob Arum, Top Rank’s CEO, would like to pair Crawford up against McGregor on a two-fight deal. The two would meet in a boxing match and another under MMA rules.

McGregor, a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, took on former boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather a few years ago. Mayweather earned a victory over McGregor in the 10th round in 2017.

“You’ve got an elite boxer in Terence Crawford fighting an elite MMA guy in Conor McGregor under MMA rules,” Arum said. “You don’t think that would be interesting and something the public would want to see? I think it’s very realistic.”

The 32-year-old Crawford recently retained the WBO welterweight title in December, finishing Egidijus Kavaliauskas to improve to 36-0.
