Ryan MacDonald – Dynasty Combat Sports Kearney Cage Wars Preview

We have been very fortunate to watch Ryan MacDonald grow as a fighter over the last few years.  We first saw Ryan fight in 2013 when he led himself to a split decision at against Mark Hooper (the current Legion Combat Sports Amateur Lightweight Champion.)  MacDonald has grown a lot as a fighter since then.  MacDonald has taken the role of coach and leader at Top Tier MMA in North Platte, NE, and since turning pro has yet to take a loss, currently 4-0.  When turning pro MacDonald made the choice to move down to Bantamweight, and the 135 lb weight class seems to suit him very well, with wins over Baron Mueller in his pro debut, a win for King of Cage against Jorge Serrano, and most recently a second round rear naked choke submission over Corey “Pitbull” Roberts and Midwest Championship Fighting 11 back in March.

Ryan “The Main Event” MacDonald is an exciting standup fighter, with some killer kicks and fast hands, but he has his work cut out for him in this event as he takes on the Veteran Chad “Obie” Obermiller, a very well respected wrestler from the Hastings area.  MacDonald should have the upper hand as long as he is able to avoid the takedown, if MacDonald end up on his back expect him to immediately start working to his feet, but that is much easier said than done as Obermiller will be like a ton of bricks on top of him on the ground.  Ryan “Main Event” MacDonald is definitely a fight you won’t want to miss.

We look forward to seeing Grey Hat Ryan MacDonald back in the cage.  And as always if you can’t make it to this event you can watch live at Fights.MMAFutures.com
