Shalie Lipp was a 21-year-old Muay Thai and MMA fighter from Breckenridge, MN, who tragically passed away in a traffic accident on May 7th, 2023. Shalie was a talented athlete with a passion for combat sports, and her recent trip to Thailand is a testament to her dedication and commitment to her craft.

During her time in Southeast Asia, Shalie trained at several academies and had the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the top fighters in the industry. She even scheduled a Muay Thai fight on three days’ notice and emerged victorious with a liver kick in round three. This victory is a testament to her courage and willingness to take risks in her fighting career.

Shalie’s passion for MMA and Muay Thai was evident in her commitment to training and competing. She was a member of the Academy of Combat Arts in Fargo, a facility responsible for training former UFC and current Bellator Heavyweight Tim Johnson. Shalie competed in the Ignite cage twice before her scheduled main event fight on May 20th.

Despite her young age, Shalie was an accomplished athlete with a record of 3-2 as an amateur fighter. She had a strong work ethic and was dedicated to improving her skills both inside and outside of the cage.
