With an injury to title challenger Jaimee Nievera scrapping plans for her to take on Legacy Fighting Alliance female flyweight champion Sabina Mazo Friday night at LFA 51, UFC veteran Cody Gibson get his chance to shine.
Gibson meets Gustavo Erak in the new main event in a bantamweight battle live on AXS TV from the Selland Arena in Fresno, California.

The 30-year-old Gibson is 15-7 in his career, including 3-1 over his last four fights since leaving the UFC in 2015. While competing inside the Octagon, Gibson went 1-3 with a first round finish vs. Johnny Bedford serving as the highlight.
Erak, a 26-year-old Brazilian, will be looking for the biggest win of his 24-fight career. He is 19-3-1 with a no-contest, including eight consecutive victories since a loss in 2015.
Other bouts scheduled for the night include Nohelin Hernandez vs. Rolando Velasco, Jordan Powell vs. Andres Alcantar and Salaiman Ahmadyar vs. Joaquin Lopez.

LFA 51 will be the fifth LFA event to take place in the state of California. RFA hosted eight events inside “The Golden State” before the merger. The entire main card of LFA 51 will be televised live and nationwide on AXS TV at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
